</Institute of Coding teams up with Cisco to host ‘Get into Coding’ workshop>

Manchester, 8th March 2019 – The Institute of Coding (IoC) has teamed up with Cisco to host a one-day training workshop designed to introduce a new generation of young people to coding and the tech industry.

The event, which will take place on Sunday 10th March 2019 in Manchester will offer an introduction to the basics of coding for those at school, sixth form or college. It forms part of the wider IoC conference taking place.

The event being co-ordinated by Hive Learning, which attendees can sign-up to without any prior experience, will cover the basics of coding including 3 languages and give advice around the vital role of collaboration for digital skills development. Additionally, the workshop will also include detailed insights into the courses available for those seeking to study the topic, along with key guidance and careers advice.

Key speakers at the event will include lecturers, experts as well as those who hold senior positions within the industry. The announcement forms part of the IoC’s full conference agenda which takes place from 10th – 13th March.
