Course overview
This course will address the basics, but also provide an appreciation of the capabilities of SNOMED CT, the NHS’s electronic health records system. SNOMED CT provides the clinical terminology used within the systems in use in the NHS and addresses the needs of all clinical professions and clinical specialties. It is imperative that all clinical staff and those processing patient records understand the basics of SNOMED CT. Learners will also receive guided and exploratory opportunities to understand the structure and content in SNOMED CT through hands-on activities.
